PUBG has banned 13 million players so far: Report
Have you just found yourself banned from PUBG? You might be one of the 13 million users which have been banned by PUBG for cheating on the platform. Here's all you need to know.
Battle Royale game Players Unknown Battleground popularly known as PUBG has been an instant hit among gamers around the globe, however, there has been several hacking and cheating problems that the developers are facing. Even though PUBG appears to be fighting an uphill battle against all users who are found cheating on its platform, the developers have acknowledged the same in the past and have ensured that steps to keep cheating in check are in place.
Now, a Reddit user, who goes by the name sjk045, has compiled data from 69 different Bluehole posts which were present on the company's Korean PUBG cafe website. For the unknown, Bluehole published weekly related to PUBG and the listing the number of players banned by the platform, making it possible for others to collect all the data of banned players and then calculate the total number.
After compiling the data by Bluehole, sjk045 has come to a conclusion that PUBG has banned 13 million players who were caught cheating on the platform since June of 2017. The Reddit user has also posted a self-made graph which compiles Bluehole’s data and highlights the peak ban timeframe for PUBG as well as the decrease in numbers of players.
If we go by sjk405’s chart, PUBG seems to be dealing with a huge number of cheating activities on its platform this year, however, the player engagement has also seen a drop simultaneously. It should be noted that the accounts of cheaters were banned by PUBG developers while some reports suggest that they are back on the platform with a different name/account.
